Officer Reports

President- 1. Insurance coverage for homeowners association is through Huckabee and Associates

  1. Board members have insurance coverage Insurance covers the liability for the soccer field and boat ramp.
    • Board approved discontinuance of insurance on “shed” at soccer field
  2. Neighbor is having dispute with builder/homeowner re: damage to property by the builders’ equipment.
    • Board has encouraged and tried to facilitate a resolution.
  3. Board needs to begin succession planning. If member is not going to serve another term, need to submit names of possible replacements

Vice President-

  • Not present, no report

Treasurer-

  1. Budget will end with balance of $31,000.00
  2. $1200 was received from homeowners who owned the lot on Secret Cove Drive

Secretary-

  • No new report

Committee Reports

Social- Two events in December, the Ladies White Elephant Party and the Christmas Dinner Party were both great successes.

  • - The Christmas Party had a new format this year, with all stages of the dinner at one venue, which seemed to work out much better than changing houses.

Landscaping-not represented

  • - concerns were voiced about the amount of money being spent and the performance of the contractor, President to speak to committee chair

Architectural Review-not represented, no report

Boat Storage- board approved widening of aisles in the boat storage area by 30ft. which would create larger spaces, this decision was due to the committee

  • beliefs that there will not be a compromise with the adjoining landowners

Ad Hoc Committee- Name changed to the Amenities committee by vote of Board

  • – not represented, no new report

Crime Watch – not represented,

  • - it was noted that the dispute (see above) did result in some vandalism to the neighbors’ car
